Mercer Island This Week: Prom Date Mixtape Hits Mercerdale, Farmers Market Rolls On (August 3–10, 2026)

Macbeth's run at Luther Burbank wrapped up with its final performances in July, but Mercerdale Park keeps the summer going with live music and the weekly Farmers Market. Here's what's on for August 3–10.

MOSTLY MUSIC IN THE PARK: PROM DATE MIXTAPE — Thursday, August 6, 2026 | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Mercerdale Park | Free

This week's free Thursday concert brings Prom Date Mixtape to the Mercerdale gazebo for a set of '80s new wave and synth-pop favorites. Bring a blanket, low-back chairs, and a picnic dinner — there's no outside alcohol, but food trucks are typically on site. No tickets, no RSVP, just show up.

MERCER ISLAND FARMERS MARKET — Sunday, August 9, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | 7700 SE 32nd Street

The market runs rain or shine through October 11, with certified organic produce, artisan food vendors, handcrafted goods, and a different live performer every week.

LOOKING AHEAD — Mostly Music in the Park has two dates left on the summer calendar: Mr. Pink plays '90s and 2000s hits on Thursday, August 13, and Diamond Star Halo closes out the series with '70s glam rock on Thursday, August 20 — both 6:30–8:30 PM at Mercerdale Park. The Movies in the Park series, which opened with Moana on July 28, continues later in the month; watch mercerisland.gov for the next confirmed date. The Farmers Market keeps running every Sunday through October 11.
