Mercer Island This Week: Mr. Pink Takes the Mercerdale Stage, Farmers Market Rolls Into Mid-August (August 10–17, 2026)
The summer calendar is entering its final stretch, but there's still plenty on tap this week — a Thursday night concert at Mercerdale Park and the weekly Farmers Market on Sunday. Here's what's on for August 10–17.
MOSTLY MUSIC IN THE PARK: MR. PINK — Thursday, August 13, 2026 | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Mercerdale Park | Free
This week's free Thursday concert brings Mr. Pink to the Mercerdale gazebo for a set of '90s and 2000s hits. Bring a blanket, low-back chairs, and a picnic dinner — there's no outside alcohol, but food trucks are typically on site. No tickets, no RSVP, just show up.
MERCER ISLAND FARMERS MARKET — Sunday, August 16, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | 7700 SE 32nd Street
The market runs rain or shine through October 11, with certified organic produce, artisan food vendors, handcrafted goods, and a different live performer every week.
LOOKING AHEAD — Mostly Music in the Park wraps up its 2026 season with Diamond Star Halo playing '70s glam rock on Thursday, August 20, 6:30–8:30 PM at Mercerdale Park — the last free Thursday concert of the summer. The Movies in the Park series picks back up the following weekend with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on Saturday, August 22 at 8:30 PM, followed by Ratatouille on Friday, August 28 at 8:15 PM, both on the giant inflatable screen at Mercerdale Park. The Farmers Market keeps running every Sunday through October 11.
Whether you're a longtime islander or just getting to know Mercer Island, this is a good week to catch the community out and about. Curious what it's like to live here year-round? I'm always happy to talk.
I'm always happy to share what I know about the island and the market.
