Best Dining & Restaurants in Mercer Island, Washington

Mercer Island's restaurant scene is small but mighty — most of the action is concentrated in the walkable Town Center, with a few standouts on the south end. Here are the places worth knowing.

1. The Crawlspace Gastropub — adventurous menu blending Korean, Hawaiian, Latin, and American influences, paired with one of the island's best cocktail programs. Great for date night.

2. Roanoke Inn — a Mercer Island institution since 1914. Classic neighborhood pub, big front porch, and a menu of burgers and comfort food that hasn't needed to change in decades.

3. Mioposto — wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza, salads, and pasta. Family-friendly, reliable, and a staple for casual Town Center dinners.

4. Las Bugambilias — family-run, authentic Mexican on the south end. Worth the short drive — Nico and his wife greet regulars by name.

5. Hap's Burgers & Taps — casual burgers, fries, and a rotating tap list. The go-to after a soccer game or a Mercerdale Park afternoon.

6. Barrels Wine Bar — more than 1,000 bottles from 200+ wineries, plus thoughtful charcuterie and small plates. Patio seating in summer.

7. Vivienne's Bistro — refined French-influenced fare in an intimate setting. A favorite for anniversaries and quieter celebrations.

8. Allister — modern Pacific Northwest cooking with a focus on local sourcing. One of the newer additions and quickly earned a loyal following.

9. Shawn's Cafe & Bakery — equally good for breakfast pastries, lunch sandwiches, or a midday coffee. Scratch-made everything.
